"The Glass Snail" began as some programmed guitar loops, expanding outward to include other electronic sounds and media clips. The result is a haunting mix. At times, particularly on "Gate Lake" and "Bulb," the sound is ancient and industrial, like early radio transmissions. Sometimes a swell of sonic mass erupts and you are taken into a floating future. All ten tracks add and subtract to the suspension of time and place that is peculiar to the soundscape created. Miller plucks at spacerock here, krautrock there, yet the pieces never feel random or posed. -- Mike Wood, Foxy Digitalis
